There are many reasons why a motor can burn out. You need to check whether the voltage of your fan motor is reasonable, whether the fan blades on the motor are damaged, whether the bearings on the motor rotor are aged or lack lubricating grease, whether the wire contact is good, and so on, all of which can cause the motor to burn out. 1、 Phase loss operation:
1. Fault phenomenon:
The motor cannot start, even if it can start without load, the speed slowly increases and there is a buzzing sound; The motor emits smoke and heat, accompanied by a burning smell.
2. Inspection results:
Remove the motor end cover and you can see that 1/3 or 2/3 of the pole phase windings at the end of the winding are either burnt or have turned dark brown.
3. Causes and solutions of faults:
(1) Poor contact or mechanical damage to the fuse circuit of the motor power supply circuit, resulting in the melting of a certain phase fuse.
(2) The specifications of the three-phase fuses in the motor power supply circuit are different, and the fuses with smaller capacity are blown. The fuse should be replaced with the same specification according to the power of the motor.
(3) The contacts of switches (isolating switches, rubber cover switches, etc.) and contactors in the electric motor power supply circuit have poor contact (burnt out or loose). Trim and adjust the moving and stationary contacts to ensure good contact.
(4) A certain phase of the line is missing. Identify the broken wire and connect it securely.

2、 Overload operation:
1. Fault phenomenon:
The high-pressure fan operates in a high-pressure zone for a long time, resulting in an increase in motor shaft power and motor current exceeding the rated value; The temperature rise of the motor exceeds the rated temperature rise, or foreign objects are sucked into the high-pressure fan, causing the motor to operate at overload, or the motor bearings have no lubricating grease or the sand frame is damaged; Friction between the stator and rotor iron cores, commonly known as sweeping.

3. Causes and solutions of faults:
(1) When the high-pressure fan operates in a high-pressure zone for a long time, it should be appropriately depressurized or replaced with a motor of appropriate power.
(2) Foreign objects are sucked into the high-pressure fan, causing the motor to overload and burn out the motor winding. Check the front end of the high-pressure fan and take measures to handle foreign objects to make it rotate flexibly.
(3) If the power supply voltage is too high or too low, a three-phase power supply voltage stabilization compensation cabinet needs to be installed. The motor is severely damp or corroded by corrosive gases for a long time, resulting in a decrease in insulation resistance.
(4) The lack of oil in the bearings, dry grinding, or mechanical misalignment of the rotor can cause the motor rotor to sweep, resulting in the motor current exceeding the rated value. Firstly, the wear of the bearings should be carefully checked, and if they are not qualified, new bearings should be replaced; Secondly, clean the bearings and inject an appropriate amount of lubricating grease. Then check the motor end cover. If the center hole of the end cover is worn and causes the rotor to be misaligned, the end cover should be treated or replaced.
